Iizip Korean Restaurant ( Iizip & Bbq )

This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves Korean cuisine. =================== It's incredibly clean, tidy, and minimalist. Arriving as a group of three, we were warmly welcomed by the restaurant owner upon entry. The menu was super Authentic with all Korean famous dishes. The food took quite a while to arrive due to the prior rush of customers, keeping us waiting for over 30 minutes to receive our entire order. Upon finishing our meal, here are our thoughts on the dishes we ordered: - Kimchi pancake: It had a good texture, a nice blend of chewiness and sweetness from the batter with the spicy and salty flavors of kimchi. However, all three of us found it a bit overly salty. -Black bean noodles were delicious and served generously. We had to assist each other to finish the sizable portion of noodles. - Kimchi zzigae (kimchi stew served with rice): The soup had the distinct spicy and sour taste of kimchi, accompanied by various vegetables, although it lacked a bit in beef content. Nonetheless, it was the most flavorful dish of the day. - Rabbokki with ramen: This dish sparked some debate as it was overly sweet. We've never had ramen with spicy rice cakes that were sweet yet still spicy. Honestly, it was a bit challenging to enjoy. Despite the chewy and delicious rice cakes and tasty noodles, the sauce's extreme sweetness and spiciness detracted from the dish's overall appeal. =================== In general, the food's price here is reasonable, super friendly staff and good quality of food. We'll definitely be returning to try more dishes in the future!

I was a bit disappointed. Previously, I visited a very nice Korean place in Helsinki, so my expectations were quite high. I noticed that this restaurant focuses more on BBQ, but we didn't want to eat BBQ today, and the prices for BBQ or hotpot are really high (around €70 per person). So, we decided to try some regular dishes first. We ordered Black Bean Noodles with pork and a Grilled Eel Rice Bowl. Unfortunately, both dishes were not tasty at all. The noodles were salty, but in terms of spices/flavors, they were really poor. The grilled eel with rice contained a lot of eggs but was extremely flavourless, with no vegetables except green onions. However, the portions were really huge and staff were friendly. Maybe the BBQ is excellent, but I can't recommend this place for other dishes

It's the best Korean BBQ that I’ve ever had in Helsinki!! I recommend the basic set. It comes with the best beef cuts and deliciously marinated chicken and pork, as well as unlimited refill! It was a great surprise that my friend recommended this place to me. The service was good and the restaurant was cute and clean. Even though the price is slightly higher than average, it is worth it! They have a good selection of Korean drinks and food available to order à la carte, which I would like to try next time :) but I totally suggest you try the Korean peach drink! Ps: they provide 15% off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

I don't normally make the effort to write reviews but I have to highly recommend this place for everyone. Me and a couple of my friends went in for a full course dinner with drinks. We all ordered the Korean BBQ. Food was absolutely amazing, we are all big eaters but the bbq set did not leave us hungry! Looked good and tasted great. Staff and service was very friendly and attentative and they gave some great recommendations and instructions on Korean food culture. Atmosphere was great and festive as we progressed through the evening and the bottle of soju! What a fun time it was. I gave this section a 4/5 but with no complaints really. A little more moody lighting would've really brought it home for me but the experience as a whole was fantastic. You should go and try it out as well! We will definitely be back!

I have been here many times and it’s never betrayed! Always so tasty foods. I always become happy and satisfied when I come here. I’ll strongly recommend to try!!! Also workers are friendly and nice :)) Update: After this restaurant moved to new place, they started to serve Korean BBQ!! How exciting! I tried it and ooooomg it's amazing!!!!! Vegetable, meat everything was so fresh and "Korean bbg set" includes so much food that we became really full. Definitely you should try once! :))
